ArmA 2 adversarial

Dag en datum: Vrijdag, 2 augustus
Tijd: 20:00 uur
Game: Arma 2 Combined Operations (A2+OA)
Type sessie: Public, wel inschrijven (max. 30 minuten per game, geen respawn)
Benodigde addons / mods / etc: ACE, ACRE en ST ACRE Volume (deze laatst mod moet je een key voor binden!). Nieuw met ACRE of niet zeker of het werkt? Loop de checklist door!

De Team vs Team scenarios afgelopen woensdag waren een leuke afwisseling. Graag zou ik eens het grootste scenario met een volle bak willen spelen, aangezien we woensdag met relatief weinig spelers waren. Tenzij men liever co-op wilt doen op de vrijdag, maar dat zal vanzelf wel blijken qua inschrijvingen. Hopelijk is er genoeg interesse om deze missie met een goed aantal spelers te doen Smile En eventueel kunnen we ook weer de attack/defend op Tumurkalay doen met een grotere groep (of een ander scenario die ik nog wel heb liggen voor max 12 players).

AREA OF OPERATIONS

MISSION
Scandal within United Nations have taken a catastrophic turn resulting in the immediate withdrawal of Czech troops from the lush Nagara valley-- leaving military assets unguarded, civilian aid organizations undefended, and locals uncertain of their allegiances. While a general riot and breakdown has so far been avoided, the dam is about to burst. In the UNs place, Taskforce LIMA has been asked to temporarily assume responsibility of the region.

12 hours into the crisis an unidentified aircraft is dropping paratroopers into the region. Taskforce LIMA must respond; there are four zones of interest to protect: A nearby village, a Red Cross sponsored field hospital, a UAV terminal, and a Mortar Site; a UN vehicle service depot may contain unlocked vehicles-- the lockdown process was very quick. The Nagara valley is heavily populated, expect civilian traffic-- civilian casualties will not be tolerated.

Taskforce LIMA must: Protect three out of the four zones for the duration of the timelimit.


GAMEPLAY:
Opfor can win this scenario by capturing three out of the four zones. Bluefor has a decisive advantage in both numbers, equipment, and mobility. Opfor must leverage their initial starting position and the advantage of being the aggressors to their best ability.

a) Two of the four zones, the Field Hospital and the Mortar site, cannot be recaptured.
b) Two of the four zones, the UAV terminal and Town elder, may be recaptured by either side.
c) Capturing the UAV terminal will give Opfor a decisive advantage. Likewise, controlling and utilizing the Mortar site can change the name of the game.
d) The abandoned UN Vehicle Service Depot may contain a selection of unlocked vehicles.
e) This scenario has a randomized time of day. If the timelimit runs out, bluefor wins.


OBJECTIVE DETAILS

1. FIELD HOSPITAL
Dr. Hladik and Dr. Annie Baker at the field hospital represent a cornerstones of the local community. Should anything happen to them, the fallout would be terrible. While their patients were shipped out with the UN troops, Dr. Hladik and Dr. Baker refused to leave the city, citing the local villages needs.

Gameplay: Killing the doctors is probably the easiest task to accomplish, and it can't be reversed-- but its also the one closes to Taskforce LIMAS starting zone.

2. VILLAGE ELDER
With the UN out of the province, a Village Elder is becoming uncertain about his allegiances. Convince him to join your cause. The elder is currently guarded by his tribesmen, whom have agreed not to partake in the fighting for now.

Gameplay: The elder can be persuaded to join either side, essentially allowing a recapture.

3. UAV TERMINAL
A top of the line Russian/Czech Unmanned Aerial Vehicle has been deployed to the valley. You must seize control of the UAV terminal to preserve information superiority.

Gameplay: Not only can the UAV terminal be recaptured, if captured by X-ray, it will mark the location of all Bluefor helicopters on the map. This makes the UAV terminal a potent, and important cornerstone.

4. MORTAR SITE
A mortar site gives the UN vital control of the valley region. Taskforce LIMA must prevent the terrorists from destroying the mortar ammo cache.

Gameplay:
1. A weapons cache containing: Stinger, Javlin, and M107 Anti-Material Sniper Rifle, weapon systems is also present.
2. The Mortars are functional.
